My experiences from ONL so far

Very positive. I had a lot to do at work at the time start of the course upstart. I felt extremely stressed the first week since the Google+ platform is new to me. Previously, my students have worked in Google Drive, so I knew that, and felt safe when we started working there in the course.
It made me confused that there was both a website ONL and a Google+ group ONL, for me it was as if the course went in two platforms at the same time and in addition to that a PBL group in Google+
After the first two weeks, however, I began to catch up with myself and first what the course is about.

The work we do in the PBL group affects me very positively. Much of the "little things" like turning on a camera, appointing someone to take the minutes are things my students will certainly be exposed to. However, the group rooms will be in Canvas, which is our university's platform, with linked documents in Google Drive.

What ONL might mean for my development

I think the course will make me more open to taking in new ideas that are not necessarily linked to my subject.
The course will provide me with tools that I have not tried before.
It will awaken thoughts and thoughts that I did not know I had.

It will give me contacts beyond my own university.

My own digital literacy and identity in my personal and professional life, and how they are linked

At work, I am completely dependent on being online. The days when I do not turn on the computer are few. Even when I have tasks that do not require the computer such as correcting a paper exam, I use the computer a lot during the day.
In my private life, I am connected around the clock. However, I choose which channels should be active during the different hours of the day.
When using new software, I feel quite confident when it comes to finding out what I need. However, there are some exceptions. When I look at the children of school age today they have a feel for the digital 3d world that I will never be able to get, such as Minecraft and Roblox. It's a trait they bring with them out of the computer, the last time I saw it was during orientation in the woods. They "redraw" the two-dimensional map into a mental Minecraft world. From that they explained where we were going, not from the map they held their hand.
Private is I am engaged in Luleå Makerspace. Here the goal is to reaching out with the digitization tools for those who do not reach them by themselves. During the past week we have had arrangements for girls and women. Among others my mother-in-law attended. She hasn´t touched a computer for several years. By herself she created a snow star in Tinkercad and wrote it out. The feeling was indescribable.

When I read the definition of digital literacy, I think it's something I have.

Who am I as an individual in the digital age, and what characterizes my journey so far

When I started school, it was popular with games that folded up and sounded pip-pip. They were called Game and Watch and it was my first meeting with the digital world. Then there was a ban at school against the calculator watch (not that any of us I class had one). At that time, you could hire a VHS machine to watch video. One day, it was possible to rent a TV game machine. We had it at home for just one evening and I was sold! We rented two games. I still remember today what the game looked like and what the characters said. One was Clean Sweep, a variant of Pac Man (though I did not know that then) where you had to vacuum up money bags after a bank robbery. The other was Spike and Molly, a variation on Donkey Kong.
In the mid 80's, a Commodore 64 appeared in my home, which was later exchanged for an Amiga 500.
My first meeting with computers in school was when I had turned 14 years, when the typing machines were swiftly replaced with electric machines and then replaced with computers over the course of three months.
The concept of the computer as a work tool came late. At high school (16-18 years old) we had data as a selectable subject, but no PC at home. My first home computer had two floppy discs, one for the program and one for whatever you wanted to save. Throughout my education, I submitted all assignments on paper. When I started there were three computers in the library to borrow - for the whole university.
I took a three-day training at university to get a (driving) computer licenses to use mail and using WebCrawler.
In one part of my university years I competed with other students about who could get the most email addresses.

I have always been the one who has tried to persuade my female friends to test Commodore and Amiga games. In terms of games and PC, I never started. Instead, the image editing was of interest to me. Cutting and pasting and jumping between different programs gave me a security that my female friends did not have. After university, I worked in the school world where the resistance to computers was huge (!) and e-mail as a tool between teachers and principal was non-existent. It's only NOW as teachers here get each computer.
I feel addicted on the digital world, more addicted than coffee and chocolate.

The ONL course

ONL course has a website where all course material is published. In addition, we use Google+ group rooms.
There is a group room for the entire course, and each study group has its group room.
I'm a beginner in Google+
For me, it became overwhelming at course start that there are so many messages sent from the rooms. I had to turn off notifications from the big group room for the first day so I would not drown. However, I'm missing out on things I should have enjoyed seeing. I guess it's easier if you're used to Google+ groups
If I were to use Goggle + in my own teaching, I would have had to use a teacher account so I could log out after work.

A surprise

In this course, many have a strong digital background, which makes me surpriced when I read blogs that most are Blogger Virgins, just like me. Does it mean that blogging is a good tool? When so many of us haven´t tried it spontaneously....

Presentations

All group members introduced themselves in respective group. The presentations where then published between the groups using a tool of free choice. I think the moderators hade talked about different ways to guide the groups to let us see as many tools as possible.
I really liked this idea and will do something similar in my classes next year.
Here are the links to the different tools used:

1.Padlet
2. Powerpoint
3.

4.

5. Thinklink
6. Emaze
7.
8.

9. Flipgrid
10. Powerpoint
11. Prezi
12. Padlet

Interactive map

Interactive map
On startup we used an interactive map in Adobe Connect. This is a great tool in Adobe Connect.
Om man vill lägga in en karta i Adobe Connect för att se var deltagarna kommer från kan man ladda ner filen och ladda upp den i Share document som fil. Hemsidan den kommer från:
